Gideon was een Moff die in 9 ABY nog steeds actief was als Imperial warlord in zijn Remnant Empire ondanks het feit dat het Empire officieel in 5 ABY ontbonden was
Rond 9 ABY had Gideon onder andere Death Troopers en stormtroopers onder zijn bevel. Gideon was op zoek naar The Child dat De Mandalorian in opdracht van The Client moest gaan ophalen om er bloedstalen van te nemen die gebruikt werden in proeven met bloedtransfusies. Toen de overhandiging van het kindje voor de tweede maal totaal verkeerd dreigde af te lopen, besloot Gideon om er zich persoonlijk mee te komen moeien in zijn Outland TIE Fighter.
