Gideon was a Moff who was still active as an Imperial warlord in his Remnant Empire in 9 ABY despite the fact that the Empire had officially dissolved in 5 ABY
Around 9 ABY, Gideon commanded Death Troopers and stormtroopers, among others. He was searching for The Child, whom The Mandalorian had ordered The Client to retrieve to collect blood samples for use in blood transfusion experiments. When the delivery of the Child threatened to go terribly wrong for the second time, Gideon decided to personally intervene in his Outland TIE Fighter.
